I wish I could go back and tell "this mom" that everything was going to be okay. I was calm on the outside, but on the inside, I was scared to death worrying about how Rachel was going to change our lives. The big sisters did not care that Rachel had Down syndrome. They were so excited to have her in their lives.......well, Allison was. I am not so sure about Leah.

Life was not so different after all. No, Rachel was not going to walk at the same time as the others, but that didn't matter.

To think that when I found out she had Down syndrome, I thought she would not be "perfect." Oh my gosh.....I love this little girl.

Rachel's personality began to shine and she started her first full year of preK.
